Project Overview
In July 2024, Hurricane Beryl unexpectedly shifted course and struck the Greater Houston area as a Category 1 hurricane. The storm caused 2.7 million outages, which disrupted service at 11 utility companies across Texas. In response, a total of 650 employees were mobilized including specialized crews—from two of our electric operating companies. Our rapid crew deployment gave us a vital logistical edge, enabling a timely and efficient response.
