Project Scope of Work Included:

  • Demolition and Removal of Existing Boiler Systems to Support Full Boiler Plant Replacement
  • Construction of New Concrete Equipment Pads and Foundations
  • Setting, Installation, and Alignment of New High-Efficiency Boilers
  • Installation of Associated Mechanical Piping Systems, Including:
    • Boiler Piping and Connections
    • Victaulic Header Piping
    • Boiler Flue and Exhaust Ductwork
    • Mechanical Completion of Boiler Systems, Including: System Testing, Flushing and Cleaning, Start-Up and Commissioning
  • Installation of New Structural Roof Steel to Support Chiller Infrastructure
  • Setting and Installation of New Cooling Towers
  • Preparation for Demolition and Removal of the Existing Chiller System
  • Full Chiller System Replacement to Improve Long-term Reliability, Efficiency, and Performance
  • Commissioning and Start-Up of New Chiller Systems with Full System Integration

Challenges and Results

Our team navigated significant logistical and sequencing challenges, including demolition of aging boiler infrastructure, installation of new foundations and structural roof steel, and precise setting and alignment of high-efficiency boilers and cooling towers—all while coordinating tie-ins to existing systems and preparing for phased chiller replacement. Through disciplined planning, close trade coordination, and rigorous commissioning protocols, we completed mechanical systems testing, flushing, start-up, and full system integration to deliver a modernized boiler and chiller plant that significantly improves operational reliability, energy efficiency, and long-term performance. The plant is on track to be fully operational by April 2026.
