    • Electric Infrastructure
  • Completion 2026

Project Overview

In 2026, we are serving as a subcontractor on the Singing Grass 345kV generation tie line project in Kit Carson County, Colorado. The 603-MW wind generation facility spans approximately 57,000 acres and includes 134 wind turbines designed to deliver reliable, renewable energy to the region. Our role is central to enabling this clean energy output, constructing the critical transmission infrastructure that carries power from the Singing Grass collector substation to a major grid interconnection substation.

Project Scope of Work Included:

  • Construction of a New 28-Mile, 345kV Generation Tie Line
  • New Greenfield Transmission Line Construction
  • Installation of Steel Monopole Structures
  • Double-Bundle 795 ACSR “Drake” Conductor
  • Stringing, Sagging, and Clipping Operations
  • Foundations and Structure Erection
  • Comprehensive QA/QC Documentation and Compliance

Challenges and Results

Despite permitting delays that significantly compressed the construction schedule, we successfully scaled resources and crews to maintain progress and stay on schedule. The team is delivering the new 28-mile, 345kV generation tie line while meeting stringent quality requirements and maintaining thorough QA/QC documentation. The project supports a 603-MW renewable energy facility expected to generate 338 construction jobs, 13 permanent positions, and more than $1.5 million in first-year local tax benefits. We are not only supporting grid modernization and system reliability across the region but also advancing Colorado’s clean energy future.
