Our Services: Comprehensive Multi-Trade & Utility Infrastructure
Distributed Power & Data Centers
Our distributed capabilities include renewable natural gas (RNG) and waste-to-energy plants, hydroelectric generation, bio solid generation, alternative energy, backup power and microgrids, and grid interconnects. In industrial settings, we provide fuel storage and distribution, pipelines, and large-scale electrical and mechanical installations.
Electric Infrastructure
WSN Construction experience spans line construction, overhead and underground distribution construction, electrical cabling, upgrading electrical systems, underground cable pulling, as well as instrumentation and control.
Equipment Installation
Our experienced crew handles the installation, rigging, and setting of heavy equipment. Scopes include blow-down tanks, generators, power-plant equipment, switchgear, pumps/compressors, filtration, and fuel-farm systems.
Natural Gas Infrastructure
We support natural gas generation and oil and gas projects with comprehensive fabrication and construction services. Our shop facilities handle piping, structural steel, and skid fabrication, backed by a formal Quality Control program to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.
Safety, Quality & Project Management Excellence
Safety, quality, and employees are part of our core values. We plan safe work and then work the plan. As the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety notes, “Elimination … is the most effective way to control a risk.” (CCOHS, 2022). We embody this philosophy daily. Our quality and safety program includes formal quality approvals, project-specific health and safety training, rigorous inspection and test plans (ITPs), incremental design and constructability reviews, and methodical quality assurance procedures.
Why does project excellence matter? McKinsey reports that large construction projects “take 20 percent longer to finish than scheduled and are up to 80 percent over budget.” (McKinsey, 2016). WSN Construction’s integrated planning, self-perform model, and quality controls are designed to counter these risks and deliver predictable outcomes.
Industries We Serve
We partner with governments, utilities, owners, and EPCs across oil & gas, chemicals, automotive, pulp & paper, food & beverage, water and wastewater, mining, and private industry. From electrical upgrades and distribution line construction to steel fabrication and natural gas infrastructure, our multi-trade delivers across the full commercial construction life cycle.
We have built long-lasting relationships with numerous clients in many key sectors of the Canadian economy, including pipelines, power generation, oil and gas, manufacturing, fuel infrastructure, airports, and government.
In addition to the allies we attain from project delivery, WSN Construction is committed to advancing the industry through active participation in committees and councils. Currently, we are a proud member of the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC (CLRA) and maintain a strong commitment to First Nations involvement.
Case Spotlight
Jet Fuel Tank Farm Terminal — Toronto Pearson: WSN Construction utilized its rare, bonded, and insured expertise to construct airport fuel storage, filtration, hydrant, and transfer systems at Pearson International Airport. This project demonstrated expertise in airport fueling infrastructure, an area where only a handful of firms in Canada are qualified.
Bridge Six Major Rehabilitation Project: Ongoing upgrade and rehabilitation of a key commercial artery between Canada & the U.S., integrating piping, mechanical, and structural steel scopes.
Our Process
A clear, stage-gated path keeps scope, cost, and schedule aligned—and gives you predictable handoffs from kickoff to turnover.
Consultation: Stakeholder interviews, determining scope and constraints, risk/opportunity mapping, constructability and access reviews, and a permitting path outline set a realistic baseline.
Bidding: We present a clear work breakdown structure, baseline schedule and estimate, long-lead and procurement strategy, site logistics, and value-engineering options.
Design/Build: Design proceeds with model reviews and clash checks, work-pack development, shop drawings, and a field-mobilization plan to synchronize teams.
Execution: WSN Construction crews self-perform construction and installation with frequent job hazard analysis, QA/QC sign-offs, and progress reporting.
Closeout & Maintenance: Lastly, testing and commissioning occur, and we turn over the project. Where needed, we offer operator training and optional maintenance support.
Sustainability & Community Impact
We pursue practical sustainability on every job: optimizing material takeoffs to reduce waste, prefabricating to minimize site emissions, and sequencing work to limit community and environmental impacts. As part of Centuri, WSN Construction invests in the communities where we live and build, supporting local training, diversity initiatives, safety education, and STEM pipelines that keep skilled trades vibrant. We also give back through charitable donations and volunteer efforts, helping address local needs and strengthen the communities we serve.
