Safety & Quality — Built Into Every Project

Safety is a non‑negotiable. Our union workforce receives craft training, human performance tools, and behavior-based safety to prevent incidents (SafetyCulture, 2025). In the field, our line technicians adhere to NESC standards and utilize insulated tooling and methods. Our safety focus is reflected in numerous recognitions, including the Platinum Safety Award, NECA Safety Award, and Zero Injury Safety Awards. Also, we align our programs with OSHA and industry best practices. For instance, we participate in the Electrical Transmission & Distribution (ET&D) Partnership with OSHA—an industry-wide collaboration dedicated to establishing best-in-class safety practices for line-construction work. Lastly, our QA/QC systems standardize planning, document control, safety procedures, and inspection/test plans across jobsites.

Integrated Project Delivery Model

We simplify complex projects with a single point of accountability. In every job, we bring engineering, permitting support, fabrication, civil, procurement, self‑perform construction across civil, mechanical, and electrical works, and commissioning capabilities—coordinated through one contract, one schedule, one set of KPIs. Our integrated model eliminates multi-vendor gaps and accelerates decision-making. In short, we reduce complexity so clients can focus on outcomes.

Case Study Highlights

Our portfolio spans from power generation to the meter.

Storm restoration across the Gulf Coast and Northeast: From Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Wilma, and Maria to recent events like Helene & Milton, our network has supported utilities with hazard clearing, pole and conductor rebuilds, distribution line restoration, and substation repairs—helping restore service for millions of customers under emergency conditions. Since 2004, we’ve responded to over 400 major storm events.

In-house fabrication and modular construction: Our 30,000-sq-ft shop, featuring over 25 welding stations, supports fabrication of structural steel, piping, electrical,  and renewable project components, while improving cost, quality, and schedule compared to multi-vendor setups.

Interconnected Power Generation, Transmission & Substation: Supporting three interconnected projects, including the Tier 1 Revolution Wind Project—the first U.S. construction of offshore wind advanced foundation components at this scale. Our work spanned offshore wind platform fabrication, 13.5 miles of 115kV transmission line reconstruction, and substation upgrades to integrate renewable energy into the grid. From concrete foundations and anode cages to line relays and port logistics, we delivered comprehensive construction solutions driving the future of clean, reliable energy infrastructure.

Industry Reach

Our work spans three core sectors, delivering infrastructure that keeps energy flowing and industry moving:

Power generation: From fossil fuel and nuclear plants to solar, offshore wind, and bioenergy facilities, our teams construct, upgrade, and maintain energy assets that power communities and businesses.

Heavy industrial: We support refineries, chemical plants, oil and gas operations, and large-scale manufacturing sites, providing construction, maintenance, and upgrade services tailored to complex industrial environments.

Utilities: We build, upgrade, and restore electric and natural gas distribution systems, managing overhead and underground networks, emergency storm response, and turnkey utility projects under one contract.

Our Industry Leadership & Sustainability Vision

We believe reliable infrastructure and thriving communities go hand in hand. As part of Centuri, we combine union craftsmanship with a long‑term, 100‑year vision for safe operations and a cleaner energy future. From RNG facilities that convert landfill gas into pipeline-quality fuel to onshore construction of advanced foundation components for offshore wind, we build projects that advance the energy transition. We invest in workforce development and diversity and inclusion, with opportunities to grow through Riggs Distler open positions.

We also invest in local community initiatives. Our Helping Hands initiative, which has raised over $350,000 since 2019 for St. Jude, and over $200,000 for CityTeam Chester, channels employee volunteerism and local partnerships to support health, education, and community causes. Learn more about our ongoing initiatives, community involvement, and project milestones in Riggs Distler News & Events.
