Project Overview

From 2024 to 2026, our team completed the full electrical scope for the Higgins Mountain Wind Project, a 100 MW wind farm in Nova Scotia that serves as a primary source of clean, renewable electricity. This project is the first of four wind farms we are delivering under the province’s Rate-Based Procurement Initiative that directly supports Canada’s Net Zero 2050 target while advancing the delivery of sustainable, reliable power for Nova Scotians.

Project Scope of Work Included:

  • 138kV Interconnection Station
  • 138kV Transmission Line
  • 138kv – 34.5kV Project Substation
  • 34.5kV Overhead to Underground Collection System

Challenges and Results

Our team of 30+ employees worked through development and environmental constraints. At project peak, our workforce was engaged across all four electrical scopes simultaneously.

The project brings significant local investment, new jobs, and clean electricity to the province, helping Nova Scotia transition from coal to renewable energy while establishing important momentum for future wind development.
