- Completion 2023-2025
Project Overview
In 2023-2025, led by our mechanical, electrical, substation, and plumbing teams, we finalized the electrical work at a Steam/Power Plant for a university in Washington, DC. The new, state-of-the-art steam plant is a combined heat and power (CHP) facility, designed to generate approximately 35–40% of the university’s electricity on-site. This advanced technology enhances efficiency by capturing and recycling exhaust heat—energy that would typically be lost—to produce steam. Now operational, the plant generates around 5.6 megawatts of electricity using steam and turbines, significantly reducing reliance on external power sources.
