Advancing Our Environmental Commitment

As we build infrastructure to sustain future generations, we go about our work mindful of how our operations impact the planet. We have set a goal to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25% by 2030.

Our plan to reach this goal includes measuring our energy consumption and CO2 emissions, implementing strategies to reduce our overall GHG output, and reporting on progress. This impacts three main areas of our business – facilities, fleet, and field operations.

We are tracking and reporting Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions data company-wide and executing a decarbonization strategy to reach our goal by 2030. Our current inventory and progress are reported in our Sustainability Report.

Field

Our field operations follow all environmental regulations and minimize impacts to the natural environment by following proper procedures for waste handling and disposal, along with other responsible job site practices. Our Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) function regularly audits all environmental practices in the field.

Fleet

Centuri’s expansive fleet, including over-the-road motor vehicles, valued at over $1 billion, is essential to our service across North America. Through GPS tracking, fuel usage monitoring, and fleet utilization analysis, we aim to reduce emissions and improve efficiency.

We are committed to responsible fleet management that minimizes environmental impact and ensures safety. By optimizing our asset management approach, including a hybrid model of leasing and ownership, we enhance capital efficiency. These benefits may include reduced carbon emissions from a newer fleet, and the deployment of technologies such as fuel consumption monitoring, idle time tracking, and emissions reporting capabilities, all contributing to greater sustainability.

Facilities
