Fabrication Shops
Indiana, USA
NPL’s 22,000 square foot fabrication shop is strategically located in East Chicago, Indiana. The shop’s comprehensive services include pipeline assembly, procurement, material management, spool design, scheduling, in-house quality control, coatings, and turnover packages. In 2025, our fabrication shop earned the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) U & S Stamps and the “R” certificate of authorization from the National Board. These globally recognized certifications authorize us to fabricate and perform repairs/alterations to pressure vessels, power boilers, power piping, and other pressure-related items.
Mississippi, USA
NPL’s 70,000 square foot fabrication shop with a 10-acre laydown space is located in Greenwood, Mississippi. The facility offers piping fabrication and installation for end users including LNG facilities, refineries, data centers, heavy industrial construction, and life sciences manufactures. A fully equipped machine shop with a CMC plasma cutting machine, breaks, and other advanced technology capabilities enables efficient material handling, rapid turnaround, and comprehensive support for complex industrial projects. The facility is also a hub for innovation and will feature automatic and robotic welding systems operating through high definition video monitors and easy to use touch screens. By holding the National Board “R” stamp authorization and ASME “S” and “U” certifications, the facility affirms its qualifications to fabricate and repair pressure retaining equipment to rigorous industry standards.
New Jersey, USA
Riggs Distler’s state-of-the-art UA fabrication facility is one of the largest pipe fabrication shops in the Mid-Atlantic United States. We have over 30,000 square feet of segregated, production-oriented floor space, multiple overhead cranes, an additional building for specialized welding, and a 11-acre of lay-down yard. In addition, our shop has over 25 welding stations supporting regulated metal deposition, gas metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding, with more than 100 weld procedures across most metallurgy types. We also have a 5,000-square-foot indoor area for modular and skid construction, dedicated carbon steel and stainless-steel fabrication areas, and a structural steel fabrication section. The facility also holds National Board “NB” and “R” stamps and ASME “S”, “U”, and “PP” stamps.
Ontario, Canada
NPL Canada’s 40,000-square-foot fabrication shop with secure, two-acre storage laydown area, has comprehensive capabilities including spool design and assembly from virtually any material and size, automatic welding up to 72 inches, valve fabrication, and full testing, coating, and commissioning services. In 2025, our fabrication shop recertified its Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015 for the 15th consecutive year and CSA N299.4 for the second consecutive year, underscoring our steadfast commitment to quality, operational integrity, and continuous improvement in the utility construction sector.
