Over 100 Years of Trusted Infrastructure Execution
At Riggs Distler, our ability to think ahead and recognize opportunities began in 1909, by supporting the transportation infrastructure market. Our foundation was built on providing mechanical and electrical construction services under one hat. Over the last century, we broke new ground in multiple markets, including HVAC and air conditioning in the ’40s, utility construction in the ’80s, renewable energy transition and emergency power restoration at the turn of the century, and most recently offshore wind and data center construction. Centuri acquired us in 2021, combining a century of union fieldcraft with a modern platform for safety, training, and investment (Centuri, 2021). Today, we’re a Centuri company that continues to develop the infrastructure our communities rely on, guided by values of safety, loyalty, reliability, and sustainability.
Our Services: Turnkey Infrastructure Capabilities
Distributed Power & Data Centers
We install distributed energy resources, including serial assembly of advanced foundation components for offshore wind, pole-attached and ground-mounted solar, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical vehicle charging stations, and telecommunications infrastructure supporting network connectivity, SCADA systems, and smart grid communication.
Electric Infrastructure
From drilling foundations to environmental matting and construction to underground and overhead transmission and distribution lines, to substation construction and upgrades, our teams plan, build, and maintain resilient assets across the power infrastructure lifecycle. Our expertise includes conduit, duct bank, cable tray, bus installations, and energized services.
Emergency Response & Storm Restoration
When extreme weather strikes, we mobilize rapidly with qualified line crews, a fleet of equipment—including bucket trucks, excavators, flex-track machines, and pole-setting rigs —plus traffic control and logistics support to restore service. We conduct circuit patrols, clear hazards, and repair or restore downed transmission and distribution lines.
Natural Gas Infrastructure
We construct, replace, and modernize mains and services, compressor and regulator stations, and gas meters. Leveraging our union expertise and comprehensive distribution services—including bare steel service replacements, cast iron main replacement, HDPE and steel main installations, and live gas taps—bring natural gas safely to communities.
Underground Infrastructure
We deliver end‑to‑end underground solutions for electric power and natural gas distribution, including joint‑trench and dedicated duct bank construction, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and open‑cut trenching, conduit and cable installation, and full civil restoration.
Self-Perform Capabilities
Other in-house capabilities include heavy civil and mechanical, drilling and foundations, pipe fabrication, modular construction, matting and access, environmental construction, scaffolding, coatings, and data communications.
Safety & Quality — Built Into Every Project
Safety is a non‑negotiable. Our union workforce receives craft training, human performance tools, and behavior-based safety to prevent incidents (SafetyCulture, 2025). In the field, our line technicians adhere to NESC standards and utilize insulated tooling and methods. Our safety focus is reflected in numerous recognitions, including the Platinum Safety Award, NECA Safety Award, and Zero Injury Safety Awards. Also, we align our programs with OSHA and industry best practices. For instance, we participate in the Electrical Transmission & Distribution (ET&D) Partnership with OSHA—an industry-wide collaboration dedicated to establishing best-in-class safety practices for line-construction work. Lastly, our QA/QC systems standardize planning, document control, safety procedures, and inspection/test plans across jobsites.
Integrated Project Delivery Model
We simplify complex projects with a single point of accountability. In every job, we bring engineering, permitting support, fabrication, civil, procurement, self‑perform construction across civil, mechanical, and electrical works, and commissioning capabilities—coordinated through one contract, one schedule, one set of KPIs. Our integrated model eliminates multi-vendor gaps and accelerates decision-making. In short, we reduce complexity so clients can focus on outcomes.
