We support each other and our communities through charitable giving, volunteer activities, workforce training, and engagement in supplier diversity programs that inspire brighter futures and offer greater opportunities for the people around us.
Charitable Giving And Volunteerism
At Centuri, we are committed to fostering stronger communities through our philanthropic efforts. In 2024, we invested nearly $1M in local communities across North America, focusing on causes and organizations closely aligned with our operations. Our giving is regional, ensuring that our impact is both meaningful and direct, while providing opportunities for our employees to engage in outreach initiatives that benefit the communities where they live and work.
Workforce Training
We know that with the energy industry projected to need 32 million new hires over the next decade (CEWD 2024), building and sustaining a highly skilled workforce is central to achieving Centuri’s growth agenda. To meet this demand, we partner with our clients, academic institutions, and community organizations, investing heavily in skill and career training opportunities across our operating areas. By creating meaningful career pathways through job training and workforce development, we support individuals in growing their skills, advancing their careers, and improving their quality of life. This approach strengthens both our organization and the communities where we live and work.
Our initiatives, including the Lineman Apprenticeship program, Empower Edge Leadership Program, and Manager Learn and Connect, foster continuous learning and development, equipping our team with the skills needed to thrive in today’s workforce. In addition, we partner with national associations to promote careers in the energy industry, including Midwest Energy Association (MEA), Western Energy Institute (WEI), Edison Electric Institute (EEI), Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD), American Gas Association (AGA), National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), and Distribution Contractors Association (DCA).

Civic Works
Centuri supports Civic Works, a Baltimore-based nonprofit focused on strengthening communities through education, career training, and service. Civic Works prepares high school students for college and careers, trains residents in construction and solar installation, and helps create green spaces throughout the city.

Job Corps Natural Gas Pipeline Academy
Job Corps helps eligible young people complete their high school education, train for meaningful careers, and find employment – all while providing housing, food, and transportation – at no cost to students. Centuri and NPL helped to develop and facilitate Job Corps’ inaugural natural gas pipeline construction course in Phoenix, Arizona. On the foundation of this success, Centuri is replicating the program in additional locations across the U.S.

Through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes Fellowships, we host both service members and military spouses, giving them opportunities to transition their skills into meaningful civilian careers.

U.S. Department Of Defense Skillbridge Program
SkillBridge connects military service members transitioning to civilian life with employers who provide real-life experience through fellowships. As an accredited partner, Centuri offers these fellowships at both the corporate office and operating companies.

W.P. Carey Undergraduate Co-op Program
The W. P. Carey Co-op Program provides juniors and seniors (with a 3.5+ GPA) with an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience through a six-month, full-time, paid position with a partnering company, such as Centuri. This program allows students to apply classroom knowledge directly to the workplace while aligning with their business major. In 2025, we hosted 2 interns.

YouthBuild is a national program that helps young adults earn their high school diploma or equivalent while gaining hands-on job training in construction and other high-demand industries.
